Swan Lake - Polovtsian dances

About event

“Polovtsian Dances”. This is the final part of the second act of the opera “Prince Igor”. Composer Alexander Borodin dedicated the vocal-symphonic and choreographic scene to the world of the East of that time. Its contrasting and composite form picturesquely depicts bright colors, elemental strength, burning temperament and at the same time At the same time, the graceful grace of original oriental images. This unique suite is based on a polar juxtaposition of contrasting themes: the lyrical dance of slave girls, the frantic male dance, the majestic glorifying choir and the swift dance of the young Polovtsians.
