The creators of the show, Yan Rudkovskaya and Evgeny Plushchenko, have decided to return once again to the themes of childhood, New Year’s miracles, and magic. The production will be based on the classic libretto of Tchaikovsky’s ballet "The Nutcracker", in which Maria, with the help of her godfather Drosselmeyer (Evgeny Plushchenko), enters a magical realm beneath the Christmas tree, helps the Nutcracker (Sasha Plushchenko) defeat the Mouse King, and embarks on a journey to the sweet city of Candyburg.
The new production will primarily be geared toward children. Ballet performances and figure skating will be enhanced by vibrant multimedia elements, stunning decorations, and costumes. New characters, Olympic figure skating champions, flowers on ice in the midst of winter—all the secrets of the ice show are impossible to list. But it can be said with certainty that "The Nutcracker" will offer a true New Year’s fairy tale for the whole family and fill the holiday weekend with magic and wonder!
“My favorite scene in the ballet 'The Nutcracker' is the Waltz of the Snowflakes. The snow is like a guide into a New Year’s miracle. I want this moment to be one of the most grand and memorable, with large and small snowflakes on the floor and on the ice filling the entire arena. The wind drives the dancing snowflakes, carrying them into the magical land,” reveals Yan Rudkovskaya, unveiling the details of the show.
